Events in Warrnambool
Warrnambool Storytelling Festival
The Warrnambool Storytelling Festival will return for another 17 days, with events across the city celebrating the different ways in which stories are passed on, including written and spoken word, music and art.

KidFEST Warrnambool
KidFEST is an interactive event for kids aged 12 and under, with age-specific activities like art and craft, live music and storytelling all under cover, so kids can get creative in any weather.

Luke Heggie - Yuck
Aussie comedian Luke Heggie is bringing his new show Yuck to Warrnambool this month, offering two show times on the Saturday night.

Events in Koroit & Port Fairy
Tales and Ales
Part of the Warrnambool Storytelling Festival, Tales and Ales is a chance for locals to relay a true story to an audience sharing a locally crafted beer. This year’s theme for stories is animals - whether you’ve got a story about a pet, or a wild encounter, the only rules are it must be a true story, no longer than 10 minutes.

Blacksmith with Rob Nansen: Jesse’s Stump
Rob Nansen from Jesse’s Stump Blacksmithing and Bush Furniture is hosting a weekend of blacksmithing workshops, where attendees will learn how to forge items like cheese knives and coat racks using a hammer and tongs. Rob is offering a Friday night taster session and a two-day course.

Circus Workshops
Circus artists Christy Flaws and Luke O’Connor are hosting two workshops, teaching kids and youth the art of juggling, hula hooping and acro-balance in two free sessions, one for 7-12 year-olds, and one for 13-25 year-olds.

Pine Mushroom Foraging Workshop
If you want to learn how to find, identify and cook pine mushrooms, this foraging event at Fig Leaf Farm will equip you with all the know-how.

Events in Ararat
Movie Mondays
Head to the Ararat Library each Monday of the school holidays for a special kids movie screening, aged for primary and early secondary school level students.

Winter School Holiday Sessions with Artist Brett Clarke
Join Brett Clarke (aka Boorook), Keerray Wooroong artist, cultural custodian and storyteller, for an engaging cultural experience through art, music, and dance. Kids will connect with Country and spirit by exploring traditional creation stories, participating in animal creation dances, and learning about songlines and cultural tools.

Spirit in the Glass
Attendees of this event are encouraged to bring a bottle of wine, a photo of a lost loved one, and an open mind. Psychic medium Michele Reeves will host this Wine and Spirit event, as she attempts to connect the audience to their loved ones on the “other side”.

Winter School Holiday Slime Workshops
Slime workshops are returning these school holidays; each 45-minute workshop offers a hands-on experience where kids can immerse themselves in the creativity of making their own slime.

Alpacafest
Alpacafest features around 150 alpacas, each carefully presented by their breeders for judging, as they compete for top honours in various categories. The event will primarily involve alpaca breeders, exhibitors, stewards, and experienced judges.
