Black Angus beef farmer Robert “Macka” McKenzie from Gloucester in NSW has been managing his soil health since 2017.
Even after the drought in 2019-20, his soil now retains 160,000 litres per hectare of moisture.
The Brolga caught up with Macka after his presentation at the Farming Forever Summit in Canberra to hear more about how making the change to improve his soil health has benefitted his farming operation.
