Here’s how much rain West Vic received over the long weekend
Some areas collected more than three inches over four days.

After the driest autumn in Victoria since 2008, the King’s Birthday long weekend finally brought some much needed rain to Western Victoria.
The Bureau of Meteorology shared the region’s official rainfall totals for the weekend with the West Vic Brolga.
Rainfall totals since 9am Friday (ending 9am Tuesday):
Ararat: 35.4mm
Hamilton: 43.4mm
Warrnambool: 71.6mm
Portland: 65.5mm
Camperdown: 77mm
Terang: 88mm
Nullawarre: 88.4mm
BoM Senior Meteorologist Jonathan How told the Brolga residents in the southwest could expect light showers of less than one millimetre on Wednesday.
After that, West Vic will be dry until the next cold front expected later on Saturday.
BoM Senior meteorologist Dean Narramore told the ABC on Monday that while the wet weather was a positive for locals, the region would need a lot more rain to bring proper relief from the drought.
"While this is very welcome rainfall and it's good to get some rain, many of these areas are hundreds of millimetres behind average and coming off the driest six, nine, 12 months in some places on record," he said.
"So it's going to take a number of these systems to break the drought."
